PROBLEM STATEMENT
- In Malaysia, orphanages are grappling with limited funding and resources, creating barriers to exposing children to diverse career possibilities.
- The lack of support not only limits their imagination and potential but also restricts their exploration of different professions, narrowing their aspirations for the future.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
- Our project aims to revolutionise the experience for these children by providing them with opportunities to envision and pursue a wide range of career paths, fostering boundless imagination and ambition.
- For younger kids aged 3-15, we will host a “Kidzania” themed event that involves captivating activities and interactive sessions showcasing various professions. This is expected to ignite curiosity and expand their imaginative possibilities of what they could be in the future.
- As for the older kids aged 16-22, we will implement a comprehensive career programme within the orphanage. This programme will include workshops on resume writing, interview tips, professional dressing and shining light on available scholarship offerings. Additionally, we will organise sessions with industry professionals to provide firsthand insights into various careers, empowering these young adults to make informed decisions about their paths forward.
- Finally, we intend to contribute a Virtual Reality device equipped with a job simulation programme to enhance and nurture the children’s imaginative abilities. It is envisioned to complement traditional learning methods by providing immersive and interactive experiences, making learning more fun and memorable.
