PROBLEM STATEMENT

  • Lack of Awareness: Many employers lack understanding of autism and neurodiversity, leading to workplace environments that don’t accommodate autistic employees’ needs.
  • Barriers to Success: Sensory sensitivities, communication differences, and routine disruptions often go unsupported, resulting in misinterpretations, isolation, and underperformance.
  • Unfair Recruitment Practices: Traditional hiring and evaluation methods disadvantage autistic individuals by emphasizing social norms that may not reflect their true potential.
  • Skill Gaps & Limited Exposure: Many autistic individuals lack access to employability training and real-world job experience, making transitions into competitive work environments difficult.
  • Missed Opportunities for Employers: Without training or inclusive frameworks, organisations overlook valuable neurodiverse talent, limiting innovation and reinforcing bias.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

  1. Increase employer awareness and understanding of autism and neurodiversity in the workplace by organising workshops.
  2. Improve communication and collaboration between employers and autistic employees.
  3. Provide training and resources to managers and HR teams on supporting neurodiverse talent.
